FRENCH CHAIR REDO , WEEKEND FINDS and BLOGGERS' BODEGA

Happy Monday:)

How was your weekend?  Ours was busy, in a good way. Don and I visited a few of our favorite antique shops. It was soooo hot on Sunday, so a motor cycle ride cooled us off. And it's a great way to check out some pretty gardens too. I was even able to get into my studio for a while. Oh, and Don finished my greenhouse!!!!!!! Pictures soon to come:)

Well, remember her? She went from this...............
to this:) I know, some of you liked the look she had but it just wasn't doing it for me. I used some vintage French grain sack fabric to cover her. That fabric is so nice to work with. I wish it wasn't so expensive. I had bought a roll of it a while back and saved it for the perfect project. This was it.  Do you ever buy fabric just because you love it but don't have a project for it yet? I do it all of the time. And something always comes up to use it on.
I also repainted her and then sanded. Stella,my granddaughter saw me painting the other day and then saw me sanding the piece I was working  on. She said "Gram, you just painted it and now you are taking the paint off?" shaking her head in disbelief. lol  I had to laugh and explained that it makes the piece look 'better'. She just looked at me funny. lol Love that little munchkin!
Grain sack fabric doesn't really unravel. I really like the look. Simple.
I picked up this cute little stool that someone had cut
down to make shorter.

Also bought this great covered dish. I love the color green and this is soooo pretty.  I can't wait to use it on  the dinner table.
                                                       Isn't it pretty?

So what did you do this weekend?
