SIGNS FABULOUS SIGNS

Hello Everyone:)
Is everyone as aggravated with blogger and google as much as I am today:( I can't leave messages on some blogs and it only let me download 3 photos. No bueno!
So we will have to make the best of what we have, right?

I am joining LISA OF: http://serendipitychicdesign.blogspot.com FOR 'MEET ME ON MONDAY' A THEME PARTY!!!This weeks party is 'signs'. I had so many great ones to show you but.......

This fabulous COUNTRY COTTAGE sign is from Lisa herself. If you don't know how talented she is check out her etsy. I just love her style and the colors she uses. This is one of my many favorites that I have bought from her. You really need to check her out:)

Why not a pretty Laundry sign in the laundry room?
I love advertising. When it is on something else I can use like this great shelf, it makes it even more special.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my 3 sign photos today. You know how I love to post lots of photos, so this just leaves me feeling empty;) Hopefully blogger will get their act together soon or I will have to switch to someone else. I'll bet I'm not the only one thinking that.

Hope you all have a beautiful weekend:)

YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE:)

Hello Everyone:)
Today I am joining Lisa from http://serendipitychicdesign.blogspot.com/. Have you been over to her blog? What a busy and inspirational lady:)  She is forever posting before and after pieces. She has so much talent! I am one of her biggest fans:)We met about a month ago when she was selling her wares at the flea market, and we hit it off right away. I used to buy from her before I even knew her. We live only about 20 minutes from each other! What a small world.  I'm am so glad we met and she is coming over next week.
Every week she is going to have 'MEET ME ON MONDAY'. where we share the theme of the week. This week it is vintage or hand crafted lighting. I thought I would share some of the lighting I have made for the barn:)
I have been creating chandeliers for a few years now and really enjoy it:) One can never have too many chandeliers, right? This one I made and added some cross charms to it. It is one of my favorites. Right now it is hanging in my kitchen just waiting to be hooked up;).........

This one is a smaller one. The crystals are solid milky white. I really like the look.

This little number was fun to create. Lots of clear, golds and umber colors make it glow at night.

This chandelier is draped in clear and green colors. I wish the photos came out better. It looks so pretty lit at night mingled in with all of my plants:)

I also like to create lamp shades. I look for shades with different shapes,(not this one) then recover them in vintage lace. I just love how the light looks shining through.

Check out Lisa's blog for more lighting ideas along with lots of inspiration. You will soon become a follower.
Have a beautiful weekend:)

BRIMFIELD PART II

Hello Everyone,
As promised more photos from Brimfield:)
On Thursday I went back to Brimfield with my friend Gretchen. We had so much fun and I laughed until I had cramps in my stomach. She is one of the funniest people I know.
I came home sooooo inspired!
There were fields that I didn't get a chance to go into with Don on Tuesday because they weren't open yet. Gretchen and I looked mostly at vintage clothes and linens. She really knows her laces and linens as that is one of her many skills.

We saw so many great linen and burlap covered furniture. I just fell head over heals with this chair.
Vintage clothes and linens were in abundance. We were more than happy to check them all out.

One of our fellow bloggers owns this GORGEOUS PINK BOOTH!!!      I LOVE these lamp shades!!!!!   http://corrabellerose.blogspot.com
She was so nice and let me take photos. I never got her name but she and her husband were very nice and now I am a follower of her blog:)  Go check it out, it is very pretty.
                                                           Cute pink table.
                                               Pretty, Pretty, Pretty!
Enlarge this photo to see all of these yummy things.
OK......Look at this FABULOUS DESK AND CHAIR!!!! It was the nicest desk at the entire show, in my humble opinion. Just look at that gorgeous color and all of that detail.
So much fun things to look at.

This booth belongs to www.mysistersgarage.com. It was such a pretty booth, I wish I had more photos to share with you but was only able to take two. You would want to spend some time in here shopping:) These ladies really know how to display their wares. Isn't that dress gorgeous?
This is Gretchen checking out their linens:)
We also stopped by to say hello to Theresa from http://timeworninteriors.blogspot.com. The piece above was my very favorite! All of those great drawers with the different handles. Just fabulous!
You all know that Theresa knows her stuff and displays her things with such creativity.
                                                                    Great windows.
This green cupboard was really nice filled with wonderful whites! I'm sure when she gets back she will have more photos to share with you. She had sold out of a lot of her stock by the time I got there. That is so good to hear:)

Hope you enjoyed Part II of my Brimfield trip. Have a beautiful weekend:)

BRIMFIELD SHOW PART 1

Hello Everyone:)

You all know how much I enjoy flea marking. Well, yesterday Don and I went to Brimfield for their first show of the year. It was AWESOME!!! We had soooo much fun. I am so happy that Don enjoys the markets as much as I do. I just love the whole flea market atmosphere. The dealers, many of whom I have become friends with, the shoppers, lots of the same faces at all of the markets, fellow bloggers that I have become friends with (hello ladies:)   the treasures of course, the entertainment of it all and.......

the Pups:)  This is "Girlfriend".  I met her in PA at a market. Isn't she just so girly with those pearls? And look at that gorgeous face?
Yesterday at Brimfield, Don pointed this little sleepy girl out to me.  I asked the owner if I could take her photo and he said yes. Is this not the cutest? It makes me want a little pup to take to the flea markets with me;)
I also stopped by to say hello to blogger and shop owner Keri Seery of www.antiquetherapy.com.  That is her above in the leather jacket.
She ran a gorgeous booth with Amy Holwell of www.thistlebeeshome.com.

Here is their booth. It was one of the most beautiful booths there. You know, the booth where everyone is  and you find yourself needing to get in there too? That kind of a booth:)
It was packed with happy shoppers. Keri and Amy were really busy:)
Very monochromatic and full of fabulous things to bring home:)
Just look at this great basket!
I saw a happy shopper walking around with this great wreath after I left their booth. Although it was a quick visit, it was nice to have met them. Good luck ladies!
OK, every year I post photos of this display of the most gorgeous statues and urns and water fountains and..........
But just look at this display, can you blame me? That is Don with his hand in his pocket. He is checking out the price of the pergola:) No, we didn't buy it but maybe someday?
Couldn't you imagine her out in the yard feeding the birds, or holding two potted plants draping in ivy? Or even in the house. I have quite a few statues in the house. Why not, right?
This one was one of my favorites. I just love cherubs.
There were thousands of pieces of furniture at this market. This one looks like it would be fun to tackle as a redo. Look at that carved wood. I kind of like the seat the way it is but that's just me:)
I don't have much purple in the barn but I had to buy some of these pretty bottles. I think I may put them in a sunny window to see how the sun shines through them. The man selling them told me that they were irradiated to speed up the color process. Did you know that the longer  old glass bottles are left in the sun the more purple they will become?
Yes, it was a bit chilly when the clouds covered the sun. This poor man was really cold....or something....;)
Chicken anyone? lol There was every size you could think of. They are made in Mexico with recycled tin. I think they are fun.

Well that is Part 1 of Brimfield. Hope you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for Part 2 and then I will show you the treasures that came home with me in Part 3:)

'Till next time......

FUN AT THE FLOWER FARM

Hello Everyone:)

Are you enjoying the Spring so far? I am taking avantage of every nice day we get. It has been very rainy here but yesterday was gorgeous:)

Yesterday Maci and I hit the flower farms and did a little shoppin'.

This was the first greenhouse we went into. Love Geraniums! They had many.
Impatience? Oh Yea! They came home with us.
We strolled down every isle of every greenhouse to pick our very favorites.
We stopped to smell the flowers.
We picked out our favorite colors.
                      Another greenhouse of Geraniums.
Mmmmm Mmmmmm I'm in Heaven:) Just look at all of those yummy colors!
Maci was the best helper. This is what we came home with from the first flower farm. It's a good thing I have a truck;0

These flower farms are an hour away but well worth the ride. Great selections and prices too:)

I am wishing you all a BEAUTIFUL HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY:) I hope it is full of LOVE, LAUGHES, AND BLESSINGS.

`Till next time...................
