Hello Everyone:)
Hope you are all doing well. My computer has been VERY sick:( With more than 7 viruses and over 2100 'issues' ( whatever that means). How, does this happen, I ask you?! Don has worked on it and it is working again but it is just not itself, poor thing.
Anyway, I have missed you all. I kept telling him I have to post, I am going through withdrawal;)I miss my peeps:)
Well, it did give me time to start decorating for Christmas, which makes me happy. I can't wait to share with you what I have been doing.
Last weekend Don and I went to Cape Cod and stayed in our favorite place, The Dan'l Webster Inn. It is a very large inn that covers other buildings. It is absolutely gorgeous and all of the rooms we have ever stayed in were just the best.
This is the home we stayed in. I say home because that is what it feels like.It is right next door to the Inn. It is historic and apartment like rooms fill it. The room's walls are all hand painted and stenciled, leather furniture and really high poster beds. Just amazing:)
The whole street in this little town of Sandwich, MA is filled with small shops, restaurants and antique stores.
This is my favorite dining room in the Inn. I believe there are 3. It is a huge solarium that faces a pond with koi and a waterfall. The grounds are gorgeously landscaped with bird feeders and unique plantings. It is a place that you can just stay at and not even go any where else. The hanging plants in the solarium are so large that they look like gigantic floor plants. The food is soooo delicious and the people who work there can not be nicer. I recommend this wonderful place to everyone:)
You know how I love old cemeteries. We went to the oldest one in Truro. It amazes me how many people died in their teens and twenties in the 1700's. Boy have we come a long way.
inscriptions. I like these angels.
The weekend was so beautiful that we also walked on the beach. We had so much fun finding the prettiest river stones and sea glass.
We also went to an auction and a flea market;) Are you surprised? Both were lots of fun. It was a wonderful weekend!!!! Hope yours was as well.
I promise to post more now that I am able to.
'Till next time......

I'm so glad that you got away, Debra. The inn and town look beautiful and this is SO what my hubs and I like to do...just explore. The beach looks so inviting! How did I know you would hit a flea market?
