Stella just turned 5 years old. She came home last week very interested in why people lose their teeth. "Mama, will I lose all of my teeth?" "Do you call the tooth fairy or does she just show up?" "Do big people lose their teeth too? Do they grow back like mine will"? "Can I laugh at someone when they lose their teeth?" and on and on. Nicole answered all of her questions as well as she could and also told her that it was not nice to laugh when an adult loses their teeth.
After thinking about it for a few days, she said to Nicole tonight "Mama, when I see someone big with missing teeth I won't say anything about it." I will just say; I loooove your hair". :) Aren't kids just precious?
I just wanted to share. It is times like this that make me the happiest.

Being with family and friends...well it just doesn't get better than that.
This week we have a couple of photos from Nicole's house. I love her chippy mantle and the pictures of her gorgeous in-laws.
And her kitty, Logan. He is the friendliest cat. Isn't he adorable?

WHITE STATUES INSIDE AND OUT
Hello everyone! Today for White Wednesday I thought I would show you some of our statues from our home and garden.
I just love these two cherubs. This used to be a fountain but it cracked over the years and wasn't able to be repaired again. So now it is a planter and better than ever. It ages so beautifully.
This is our newest statue given to me by Don for our anniversary. I believe it is a reproduction of sort of 'The Winged Victory of Samothrace.' It is an quite an interesting story. Anyway, this statue is taller than I am. I saw it one day while we were out and loved it. Later that week Don (he is the best) and my son-in-law Manuel(who is awesome) went out to get it. They set it up in the yard to surprise me the next morning. Was I ever surprised!
In front of my studio. OOHHHMMMMMMMM
A kitchen Angel. Could she be any cuter?
Hope you enjoyed my White Wednesday. Don't forget to check out Kathleen at Faded Charm for more. She has some of the nicest ladies who participate in White Wedneday.
Till next time.....

Naked Chair
So.....I am in the fabric store buying burlap to sew some pillows for Maisonstgermain.com when the lady at the cutting counter asked me what I was making. "What are you making with all of this burlap?" Me: "Oh some pillows, I actually just got done upholstering a chair with it." I happily told her. "You covered a chair with it?" "Isn't it itchy?!!!" looking at me oddly. Me: Well......we don't usually sit around naked so......no it isn't itchy." Some people just don't get it. Do you?

It's White Wednesday again!
I love White Wednesdays. I can share some of my 'whites' with you and enjoy yours as well. It is something fun to look forward to in the middle of the week thanks to Kathleen of Faded Charm. Thank you Kathleen! (check out her blog for more white loveliness.) Here is what I have this week for you.
This Mexican hutch is pine and I loved it but it needed to be white. So I painted and distressed it and now it is perfect.
I bought this wonderful birdhouse from Brimfield. It hangs on a tree in front of my studio and the birds love it.
This is our mantle in the kitchen. I change it from time to time. But it always has some of my white things. The pretty frame is new but the print is old. I love how new and old things work together.
Since we are so fortunate to live in an old 1700s barn, we have these great chestnut beams. In the kitchen they hold herbs and dried flowers. I buy flowers every week from a very nice family owned farm who sells at one of the flea markets I attend. Two dozen roses for $10.00 makes me happy for more than a week. I dry and hang them to further my enjoyment.
Hope you enjoyed todays Whites. I will stop by your blogs and check out yours. Have a fabulous day!!

When I saw this cupola I knew I had to have it. It is surrounded by my succulents in the living room. It is wonderfully aged.

Antiquing in Cape Cod
Don and I went on a 'Romantic Get Away ' on Cape Cod this weekend. We visited antique shops, a flea market and of course The Christmas Tree Shops. There are at least 6 CTS's on the Cape and the prices are really great. We stayed at a gorgeous Inn complete with a fireplace, jacuzzi and a sumptuous canapy bed. The dining room was a large solarium that overlooked a pond with waterfalls and koi. We enjoyed four delicious meals there.
I found this pretty tall statue of a woman holding flowers in an antique shop. She just spoke to me and I knew she would fit right in nicely.
I like the way it looks in front of my old pink and white chippy door.
Isn't she pretty?
What did you do over the weekend? I'd love to hear all about it.
Till next time.......

Happy White Wednesday
My 1st White Wednesday was so much fun! I love hearing from people from all over the world and to be able to share photos and ideas with . I have learned so much from the blogs I read. It is amazing how many inspirational ,creative, artistic, sweet and funny people there are. So many heart warming stories and different ways of life. The friendships people have made through blogging and the everyday goings on in ones family. And the best part is that they are just a click away! I hope you enjoy your White Wednesday!
One of my chandelier creations. This one is in the kitchen but not hooked up yet until I am sure I like it there.
China and ironstone butterpats.
More white ironstone and white beaded pumpkins.

Another one of my chandeliers. The frame is French, the crystals are both old and new. I have made so many chandeliers and am actually making one now to give me more light over my desk. I will post a photo when I am done.
This is an old dress form that I painted white. I keep it in our master bathroom with all of my pins clipped to it.
An old white watering can.
The creamiest white roses given to me from Don on our 30th Anniversary on November 3rd.
Till next time......
